TASTE PHILANTHROPIC MISSION:
Taste® has always been a good corporate citizen through volunteerism and by donating to hundreds of worthy causes over the years. However, as the number of donation requests has grown each year, it has become harder and harder to make a meaningful impact while supporting so many different causes and organizations. Beginning in 2008, Taste® narrowed its philanthropic focus to organizations and events that support cancer awareness and research, and in 2009 Taste® donated nearly $15,000 to local organizations and events. This cause is especially close to the hearts of many Taste® customers and employees. By focusing our philanthropy on cancer awareness and research, we will have a greater impact on the communities we serve. The downside, of course, is that we will have to say 'no' to donation requests from many worthy organizations.
