Hendry Vineyards, Napa Valley
Winter 2007

This past January, Jon and Peter Pruden and Sabra Coe Young visited Hendry Vineyard's in Napa Valley during a trip out to California for the annual Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco.

George himself came in shortly after we arrived and gave us a warm welcome. You could tell by his stature that he loves what he does and it shows in his wines.

2004 Hendry Barrel Fermented Chardonnay
Hendry Barrel Fermented Chardonnay is clean and crisp with refreshing tropical fruit flavors. It's a delicious Chardonnay that is perfect to be sipped by itself or as an accompaniment to poultry and pork dishes.

2005 Hendry Pinot Noir
Hendry Pinot Noir has enticing cherry and black fruit flavors with a hint of smoke on the finish. Your friends will love this wine! Serve it with grilled salmon or tuna.

2003 Hendry Block 28 Zinfandel
Hendry Block 28 Zinfandel is a full-bodied Zin with mouth filling overtones of black currents. It finishes with rich and well integrated tannins. There is nothing to dislike about this wine! Enjoy with grilled foods.

We were welcomed by a wonderful young woman, Tamara Landre, who was so enthusiastic you would have thought she owned the vineyard. During our extensive training she spoke passionately about George Hendry, owner and winemaker, and his enthusiasm for growing grapes and making what we discovered were incredible wines.
